Payout access
Before a workspace can attach USDC payout packets, Filosign may require a one-time payout access safety review. This protects senders and recipients from abuse and aligns with our payout policies. It is separate from your plan including payout features and separate from approving payment in your wallet at send time.
When to use this
Section titled “When to use this”- Your workspace wants to attach USDC payout packets to envelopes
- You see Pending or Not requested on the payout access screen
- Finance approved payouts but compose still blocks new payout attachments
- You need to understand why Filosign reviews workspace payout requests
How it works
Section titled “How it works”- A workspace owner or admin submits a payout access request from Workspace settings.
- Filosign reviews the request against our Acceptable Use Policy and Payout feature addendum.
- When approved, the workspace can attach payout packets (subject to plan limits).
- Each payout still needs enough USDC on Base and a valid wallet approval at send time.
While status is Pending, compose and sign flows block new payout attachments. Existing envelopes are not affected unless you try to add new payout rules.
Example workflow
Section titled “Example workflow”A startup workspace wants to pay contractors through signed completion waivers. The admin opens Workspace settings → Payout attachment access, reads the terms, and submits a request. After Filosign approves, the team attaches payout packets from their treasury wallet when sending agreements.
What to watch out for
Section titled “What to watch out for”- Payout access is not wallet approval. Even with access approved, each payout needs USDC and wallet approval.
- If terms change after approval, you may need to accept the current version before attaching new payouts.
- A declined request does not affect envelopes you already sent.
- Payout access does not replace your own compliance review of counterparties and amounts.
- External wallet payouts are optional on the request form. Checking the box does not enable them; Filosign reviews and may grant them separately after payout access is approved.
How to do it in the app
Section titled “How to do it in the app”- Open Workspace settings → Payout attachment access.
- Read the terms and submit a request. Optionally describe why you need external wallet payouts (paying addresses not on the envelope).
- Wait for Filosign review.
